Chuck Blake passed away March 3, 2019 after a valiant fight with cancer.
Chuck founded the company now known as Blake Solutions in the mid-1970s after gaining experience at trailblazing hospitality companies including Holiday Inn (subsequently Bass, Promus and Hilton) and Allen & O’Hara (subsequently EdR and Greystar).
Blake Solutions, Inc. has grown to become a nationwide, turn-key provider of cabinets, countertops, sinks, bowls, shower enclosures and other products for multi-unit projects.
Chuck introduced innovative interior construction products to his colleagues at Holiday Inn, A&O and other industry leaders.
He was joined in the business in 1994 by his son, Wilson, who had just been licensed as an architect and who now leads BSI.
During the period since 1994, BSI has adapted and grown to serve the needs of its customers to include developers, owners, designers and contractors of multi-unit projects. BSI has furnished products and services for hundreds of thousands of units of hospitality, multi-family projects, student and seniors housing.
Chuck’s tenacity, reliability, integrity, professionalism, vision, empathy, passion and commitment to relationships have placed BSI on a trajectory to continue to provide innovative products and services to our customers now and into the future.
Chuck was universally loved and respected by his family, friends and business colleagues and associates.
He leaves his loving wife of 32 years, Nancy Jones Blake, his son Wilson, his daughter-in-law Anna and granddaughter Elizabeth.
